Our Story

AlZiyana — الزيانة — means the art of adorning oneself.

In Morocco, beauty was never something you bought. It was something you learned — in the warmth of the hammam, from your mother, who learned it from hers.

I am Meryem, and AlZiyana began with the rituals I grew up with. The Black Beldi Soap prepared before the steam. The Kiss glove passed from hand to hand. The argan oil, warmed between palms, at the end of it all.

When I moved to Dubai, I couldn't find them — not the real ones. So I went home and brought them back. Not reinvented. Not reformulated. The Beldi way: as they have always been made.

Every product is chosen with niyya — pure intention. It is the promise behind everything we do: what reaches your hands is exactly what Moroccan women have trusted for generations.

what Beldi Means

Beldi is a word Moroccans use for things made the traditional way — authentic, local, true to origin. The opposite of industrial. When we say our botanicals are Beldi, we mean they come from the source: pressed, distilled, and prepared as they always have been.

Our Argan Oil, Prickly Pear Seed Oil, Black Beldi Soap and floral waters — Ma Ward & Ma Zhar — are certified organic. Our powders — Akker Fassi, Nila, Tabrima — are 100% natural, exactly as tradition made them.
